CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! 

SEEKING: ONE actor, age range 14 – 18, to join the 100 Watt Youth Ensemble in the unique position of SWING UNDERSTUDY for the production of 12 at the Great Canadian Theatre Company.

Experience in theatre (classes and/or productions) required. 

Qualities: love of collaboration, dedicated & responsible, detail-oriented, and a willingness to both learn and play as part of a professional ensemble.

Description of Opportunity:

Become a member of the 100 Watt Youth Ensemble. Take on the role of Swing Understudy for the acclaimed original production of “12”, theatre that gives voice to youth with regards to the climate crisis and their hope for the future for all generations.

Collaborate alongside 11 other youth of the National Capital Region, develop ensemble and leadership skills, and as resident artists at the GCTC, attend theatre and have the option to even host audience events. Gain the experience of working with professional theatre companies, 100 Watt Productions and the Great Canadian Theatre Company from Jan – May 2023! 

Time Commitment: weekend hours only on select Saturday mornings from Jan – Mar 31st; add on select Sundays in April; increased time commitment during Production/Tech week April 29 – May 6th.
